I have no experience with these sorts of things, so I wouldn't know, but I wonder if BooZTT may be running higher tire pressure than you would normally run for a daily-driving normal wheel/tire combo? I have a video somewhere taken to advertise some tires or something (I think) where they had narrow tires stretched out onto wide wheels for drifting, and some of the camera angles they showed were close ups of the tires during hard cornering. The wheels never really got close to the ground at all (there was very little sidewall flex) during the cornering. So I assume they are using very high tire pressure?
